Mobile Phone & Camera Policy

Guidance updated for GDPR – May 2020

This policy covers the use images on cameras, mobile phones, tablets and other devices which are capable of taking and storing photographs and other digital images such as DVDs.

 

To comply with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, 2018) -

• Specific parental permission is requested, in writing, before images of children are taken.

• Parents are informed about their right to withdraw consent.

• Staff including students and volunteers (as relevant) are trained in the safe use of images.

 

Concerns about inappropriate taking or using of images must be immediately reported to the Director of DCL Early Years Services Ltd. Data Breaches will be reported without delay to the Information Commissioners Office (see Data Breach Register) and the affected parent will be informed.
